Many of these accidents ARE preventable. Developed specifically to address this issue\, our course focuses on the most common types of home accidents affecting this age group and their prevention. \nThis one day course is accredited by City & Guilds and will include an exam at the end of the day from a nationally recognised awarding body (Exam results once marked will be provided along with an examination certificate). \nWhat you will learn: \nFalls\, burns\, scalds\, poisoning and fire are the biggest cause of serious and fatal injuries in the home. SUMMARY:Choosing & Using Nursery Equipment Workshop - 23rd July
DESCRIPTION:To Book Please Call or Email Jessica on\n01582 548 356 or\nJessica.Wilson@pre-school.org.uk \nThe workshop is facilitated by Safe at Home and helps pregnant and new parents to make safer choices when choosing nursery equipment for their baby.  Parents are often surprised to learn that not everything that is sold is safe or recommended by health professionals – we can teach you about the myths and truths to enable you to make an informed choice for your little one.  The session ends with a tour of the home safety centre at Luton Fire Station. \nYou will also learn about a new programme in Luton called Tubes of Life that will help you to protect baby during pregnancy and  in the early months of life following the birth. \nParent will receive a complimentary goody bag at the end of the session.
