DESCRIPTION:Click Here To Book\nThis training is suitable for staff working and carrying out home visits to families in Luton with children aged 0 – 4yrs – Note: Staff must have attended the RoSPA Child Safety in the Home course.  \nSupporting a Safe Home Environment for babies\, toddlers and young children up to age five. \nThis course will qualify you to carry out Safe at Home Assessments and become an approved assessor for the scheme in Luton with the approval of your line manager. \nWhat you will learn: \nFalls\, burns\, scalds\, poisoning and fire are the biggest cause of serious and fatal injuries in the home. This training will show you how to discuss with parents both behavioural and environmental changes\, to reduce the risk of injury from these accidents. \nCourse content includes: \n\nIdentifying hazards in the family home\nCompleting the home safety assessment\nUsing the Safe at Home documentation\nFollowing the Safe at Home procedures\nUsing Safe at Home Safety Equipment\nReceiving your Tool Kit\n\n  \nFlying Start offers a range of free training opportunities to all professionals working in Luton. \nAll courses are free for staff who work in Luton. DESCRIPTION:Click Here To Book\nTime – 9:30am (Please arrive by 9am for registration and refreshments) – 5pm \nVenue – Stopsley Baptist Church\, St Thomas’s Road\, Luton \nThis accredited programme is suitable for staff working and carrying out home visits to families in Luton with children aged 0 – 4yrs. \nSupporting a Safe Home Environment for babies\, toddlers and young children up to age five. \nChildren under the age of five years are more at risk from an accident in the home than anywhere else. Many of these accidents ARE preventable. Developed specifically to address this issue\, our course focuses on the most common types of home accidents affecting this age group and their prevention. \nThis one day course is accredited by City & Guilds and will include an exam at the end of the day from a nationally recognised awarding body (Exam results once marked will be provided along with an examination certificate). \nWhat you will learn: \nFalls\, burns\, scalds\, poisoning and fire are the biggest cause of serious and fatal injuries in the home.
